Who This is For

We work with dental offices, health professionals and independent health-oriented retailers who appreciate our fundamental philosophy of fostering oral health by restoring and supporting a healthy oral microbiome–the true path to great oral health.

Our Story

As one of the nations leading holistic dentists, Dr. O’Malley spent years developing a solution to the silent epidemic of oral disease.

The traditional approach of chemicals, drugs, artificial ingredients, along with the "drill and pull" dentistry was not the solution.

Tired of these “solutions,” he knew that the answer lay with oral health care that would worked with the body’s natural healing processes.

Each of our products is proven effective, and have achieved fantastic results when used by themselves! However, the real magic happens when combined. Together, they work together to build strong and natural oral health. This extends to the support of better health overall - health that lasts.

Lisa - Customer Story

"I tried this one. This is called the Great Oral Health toothpaste by Dr O'Malley. I really loved it. Not only did it help with my sensitivity but it's also fluoride free and I have to mention that the other benefit is it's also gradually whitening my teeth so I'm really excited about that."

Fritz's - Customer Story

"I take a couple of pills, they dissolve very easily, nice minty flavor that sort of thing and what I noticed right from the start was that it eliminated bleeding of the gums when I brush my teeth which I knew meant that I was reducing the inflammation in my gums."

About Dr. O'Malley

Dr. O’Malley has been practicing dentistry successfully for more than 30 years. He currently runs a holistic and natural cosmetic dentistry practice in Encino, California.

He graduated from the prestigious Creighton University School of Dentistry and opened his first practice in Midland, Texas. His single-office practice quickly grew, expanding to multiple locations, eventually becoming the largest dental provider in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Later, he partnered with a national dental management group, which took over the day-to-day operations of the practices and continues to manage them to this day.

Still passionate about dentistry, Dr. O’Malley relocated to California, where he pursued advancements in cosmetic dentistry, while continuing his work in minimally invasive and biological, holistic dentistry.

As his career progressed, he became increasingly convinced of the need for more advanced oral health products. A vast majority of his patients, particularly those requiring full-mouth restoration, suffered from various stages of gum disease and tooth decay.

Dr. O’Malley began researching and developing new approaches and products to address the "silent epidemic" of oral disease, with a mission to bring healthier, more effective solutions to the field of oral health.

In today’s world, with all the knowledge and technology at our disposal, it doesn’t make sense that we should still suffer from decayed teeth, diseased gums, bad breath, and other oral health issues.

Bringing natural and effective oral care products to the world—and changing the state of oral health for you, your family, and everyone—is his dream, mission, and passion.

Probiotics

Old Way

Relying solely on fluoride toothpaste for oral care has several drawbacks. Fluoride toothpaste alone cannot effectively combat plaque buildup, gum disease, or maintain a balanced oral microbiome. Additionally, excessive fluoride use may lead to dental fluorosis, especially in children, which causes discoloration and weakening of teeth. It also doesn't protect against the erosion of enamel caused by acidic foods or bacteria.

New Way

  • RESTORE AND MAINTAIN A HEALTHY ORAL MICROBIOME–The underlying cause of most oral disease lies with an unhealthy microbiome. An imbalance and overgrowth of certain bacteria erodes teeth and fosters gum disease. Rebalancing the bacteria to a healthy mix restores an environment that is healing rather than destructive. This is not an overnight process. Poor oral health takes years to develop, so it can take weeks or months to turn around.

Old Result

Fluoride toothpaste alone cannot remove plaque effectively or prevent the development of gingivitis and gum disease. Additionally, it does little to combat harmful bacteria that lead to bad breath and other oral infections. Over-reliance on fluoride can also increase the risk of dental fluorosis, especially in young children, leading to permanent staining and weakened teeth.

New Result

Toothpaste

Old Way

FLUORIDE HAS BEEN A COMMON INGREDIENT IN TOOTHPASTE, believed to strengthen enamel and prevent cavities. However, growing concerns have emerged about its potential negative effects. Excessive fluoride exposure can lead to dental fluorosis, causing discoloration and damage to teeth. Additionally, some studies suggest fluoride may contribute to health issues such as thyroid dysfunction and bone weakening.

New Way

  • ENAMEL REPAIR TOOTHPASTE WITH HYDROXYAPATITE-Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring form of calcium that forms over 90% of a tooth’s enamel. Thanks to its ability to fill in and repair enamel damage, it is ideal for a remineralizing toothpaste. While a longer explanation is needed, the fact is that nano-hydroxyapatite effectively replaces fluoride in providing enamel repair and protection against cavities.

Old Result

In the past, people with sensitive teeth often relied on products like harsh mouthwashes, toothpastes with abrasive ingredients, or treatments containing numbing agents to alleviate discomfort. While these products temporarily masked the pain, they often worsened the problem over time. Abrasive toothpastes could erode enamel, making teeth even more sensitive, while numbing agents only provided short-term relief without addressing the root cause. Overuse of some products also led to gum irritation and other oral health issues, prompting a shift toward gentler, more effective solutions for sensitive teeth.

New Result

  • CLINICALLY PROVEN SENSITIVITY RELIEF–Our NHA has been engineered to not only remineralize and to repair the enamel, for protection and relief, but will even work into the dentinal tubules for superior sensitivity control and pain relief. It works by mimicking the natural mineral structure of tooth enamel, helping to repair and remineralize the surface of teeth. The benefits of using nano-hydroxyapatite include strengthening enamel, reducing sensitivity, and promoting healthier teeth without the risks of harsh chemicals. Its biocompatibility makes it a safe and effective alternative for those seeking long-term relief from tooth sensitivity while improving overall oral health.

Researched for over 7 years by one of the nation’s top holistic dentists, this formulation is designed to support the health of your entire oral cavity. His practice and philosophy follows a biomimetic approach to oral health–working with and using nature’s own patterns for healing and health.

OraRestore

Old Way

Standard mouthwashes often contain alcohol and harsh chemicals, which can have negative effects on oral health. The high alcohol content can dry out the mouth, reducing saliva production and leading to bad breath and an increased risk of cavities. Additionally, some mouthwashes can disrupt the natural balance of bacteria in the mouth, potentially killing beneficial bacteria along with harmful ones. This can lead to irritation of the gums and oral tissue.

New Way

  • HELPS TO REBUILD A HEALTHY ORAL MICROBIOME–Used in conjunction with our patented oral probiotics, this oil blend helps to suppress and inhibit the bad bacteria and so assisting the beneficial bacteria to colonize and restore a healthy oral microbiome. By allowing beneficial bacteria to thrive, essential oil blends help restore balance in the mouth, promoting long-term oral health. These natural blends are gentler, reducing the risk of dry mouth, irritation, and imbalances in the mouth’s ecosystem.

Old Result

Using standard mouthwash, particularly those containing alcohol and harsh chemicals, includes drying out the mouth by reducing saliva production, which is essential for neutralizing acids and protecting teeth from decay. This can lead to bad breath and a higher risk of cavities. Additionally, standard mouthwashes can disrupt the oral microbiome by killing both harmful and beneficial bacteria, which may cause gum irritation, weaken the mouth's natural defenses, and create an imbalance that can lead to further oral health issues over time.

New Result

Benefits and Outcomes (for dental practice)

How Do Oral Probiotics Work to Fight Tooth Decay?

  • First, oral probiotics can break into and colonize your mouth's biofilm, replacing the "bad" bacteria with good.
  • Second, the beneficial oral probiotics compete against the bad bacteria. In effect they crowd out the "bad" bacteria by establishing themselves in the limited space of the biofilm.
  • Third, now, with a lower volume of S. Mutans, and other acid-forming bacteria, the teeth and gums are not under the constant, disintegrating attack of acids.
  • Fourth, at the same time, the oral probiotics are producing alkaline byproducts. This action not only reduces the acids but inhibits the growth of "bad" bacteria as they thrive in acidic environments.
  • Fifth, as a part of the biofilm, the oral probiotics are able to make their way into those difficult to reach deep areas of the teeth and gums. Once there they can continuously work, 24/7, to create a balanced environment that inhibits tooth decay and gum disease while promoting the healing process.

How Do Oral Probiotics Help Against Gum Disease?

  • First, our oral probiotics are chosen for their ability to penetrate into and to colonize within the biofilm (plaque) and to survive in the oral environment
  • Second, these oral probiotics have the ability to successfully compete against the harmful bacteria. There are limited resources in the biofilm and with more beneficial bacteria present then fewer harmful bacteria can exist
  • Third, it is not the presence of plaque that is so much the problem, it is the acids and toxins produced by certain bacteria that lead to gum disease and tooth decay. Fewer harmful bacteria in the plaque=lowered toxins and acids
  • Fourth, our oral probiotics improve your mouth's pH balance. This has the effect of reducing acid levels and establishes a pH level that inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria
  • Fifth, unlike brushing or flossing our oral probiotics work their way into those difficult to reach "hideout" zones and so they will work “around the clock” and not just when you brush or floss

How Does OraRestore Essential Oil Combat Bad Breath?

  • AS A LIQUID TOOTHPASTE: Simply place several drops onto your toothbrush and brush away. You can also add a bit of baking soda or your favorite toothpaste. The essential oils will just give your toothpaste and added boost.
  • AS A MOUTHWASH: Add several drops to water and gargle away, a great cleansing and stimulating mouthwash in seconds. For added benefit, add a touch of salt to the water (sea salt is by far the preferred choice). This is an effective and easy mouthwash treatment for eating out, freshening your mouth during the day and a top-notch travel companion.
  • FOR BACTERIAL/SUGAR CONTROL: A great way to counteract the growth of bacteria when you are eating sugars or simple carbohydrates... or when out for a drink. Simply put a few drops on your tongue and swish, or put onto your finger and rub over your gums.

Your toothpaste costs more, why?

We don’t use cheap fillers. Other brands list glycerin in their main ingredients. Glycerin is a filler which in larger quantities, clings to enamel, inhibits calcium absorption & attracts plaque. 2, We use the highest quality nano-hydroxyapatite which has been clinically tested for effective enamel repair & sensitivity relief. 3, Use sparingly –Our concentrated formula is made with potent ingredients including Tea Tree oil, so it lasts longer. You only need a pea sized dab.

What makes Great Oral Health products different from traditional oral care products?

Great Oral Health products are designed to work with the body’s natural healing processes by supporting a balanced oral microbiome. Unlike traditional products that rely on harsh chemicals and fluoride, our products use safe, non-toxic, and holistic ingredients to promote long-term oral health without negative side effects. We focus on natural ingredients like hydroxyapatite to remineralize enamel and oral probiotics to rebalance the bacteria in your mouth.

How do your products compare to traditional fluoride-based toothpastes?

While fluoride-based toothpastes focus on cavity prevention, they can also come with risks, including dental fluorosis and potential health concerns from excessive exposure. Our toothpaste uses hydroxyapatite, a naturally occurring form of calcium that mimics the structure of your tooth’s enamel. It not only strengthens and repairs enamel, but it also reduces sensitivity and promotes overall oral health—without the risks associated with fluoride.

What is hydroxyapatite, and why is it used in your toothpaste?

Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring mineral that makes up over 90% of tooth enamel. It helps repair and protect enamel by filling in microscopic cracks and strengthening teeth. We use nano-hydroxyapatite in our toothpaste as a safer, effective alternative to fluoride, providing all the benefits without the potential risks.

Are your products suitable for children?

Yes, our products are safe for children. However, we recommend supervising young children during use, especially with oral probiotics and essential oils, to ensure they’re used correctly. Since our products do not contain fluoride, they offer a safe alternative for parents concerned about the potential side effects of traditional fluoride-based toothpastes.

How are Great Oral Health products tested for safety and efficacy?

All our products undergo rigorous clinical testing to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety and efficacy. We have numerous clinical studies supporting the effectiveness of our formulations, from our toothpaste’s ability to remineralize enamel to our oral probiotics' role in reducing plaque and gum disease.

How can I purchase your products wholesale if I am not a health professional?

We do not have a bulk sale program for non-professionals. If you do not have an office or business, we do have an affiliate program (link to affiliate page) if you wish to be a brand ambassador.
